Favorite Quote:
Happiness is like a butterfly
The more you chase it
The more it will elude you
But if you turn your attention to other things
It will come and sit softly on your shoulder. - Henry David Thoreau

Bastardized, my body is.
And within, a haggard heart
That functions as both
Bible and church.
Since birth, each beat repeats
The same doctrine
Of self-deprecation:
You make an iota
Of a difference,
You are the interim
Betwixt two femtoseconds.
And as a devoted believer
I echo it as my mantra.
Renounce the God
Of myself
For self-hate is the true answer.
Oh, but every so often
There comes a different believer,
Perhaps an angel of sorts,
That stirs my ruddy drops
Into sacrilegious art
And makes the mind
A heretic to the heart.
