Rose Colored Glasses
They sit and they wonder
And ponder and ask
But deep down their world
Is just rose colored glass
They think they know all
And can call it by name
But their eyes are shadowed
And they see no pain
They see all life's pleasures
And none of the hate
To them life is simply
A play that's first rate
They think that their knowledge
Is deep and profound
Of life, love, and losses
Gold crosses and crowns
Their rose colored glasses
Are hiding a view
Of a life that is deeper
Than they ever knew
