The Things I Love

The things I love happen to be small,
Like talking to the birds in tress so tall
Or feeding by hand a mallard duck
Even though I've ran out of luck.
The things I love are not that grand,
Just a stroll in the park with my dogs in hand.
Maybe fill up the tank and go cruising,
Not a thought of dismal while jamming.
The things I love are plain and simple
That make me smile and show off a dimple.
Expressing my thoughts through paper and pen
While meditating and feeling zen.
The things I love are a part of me
Similar to that of a fruit from a tree.
In my grip some paint and a brush,
Creating art that gives me a rush.
