Lonely, Forgotten Friend
“What is this that I have found?”
Said the girl whose college bound.
It is the doll that she once knew
Dressed in pink and green and blue
They used to play all day and night,
She’d cry to her when parents fight
Now into the box she goes
Up to the attic with too small clothes

 The doll is overjoyed when
She sees the girl, her old friend
She remembers all the things they did
Till underneath the bed she slid
That fateful day when the boy came home
And the doll had to sleep alone
And now the doll’s alone once more
In a box in the attic for another score
