Agape
zookeeper stretched her heart agape
& with eyes she bade him in.
He purred at first so gently
Before he rumbled at his whim.
His sharp incisors sweetly slipped
Past her muscle and her bone
To tear those tender tendons
From the heart he called his home.
He licked his love stained whisker lips
with satiated moan.
But when of hunger again he whined,
She offered him still more.
Oh! How I gave my heart and soul
To feed my sweet Lion's roar
