Soft grasses
whisper
around tired legs
walking from barren lands
pocketbooks
demonstrate the parasite
whence they left
birds chirp gaily
in low hanging branches
flowers bob along
in tune
hearts grow warm
burdens grow light
the tired legs
walk on
butterflies
tickle
travelers ears
promising
a brighter
future
surely utopia
has been found
on this blessed
green clothed ground
where freedom is a place
beheld by liberties
coppery face
mother to orphans
of lands cruel and hard
the dream that is promised
by red white and blue
