“My thoughts are stars I cannot fathom into constellations.” ― John Green, The Fault in Our Stars

if proposed the question of why,
I would stand there overwhelmed because of
the simple fact that there are an immeasurable
volume of reasons
may I try to name them all?

is it your tangible appearance?
the waterfall of crimson hair that flows down your back?
the ivory canvas of skin that remains unbroken?
the shamrock hue of eyes that shine with brilliance?
the china pink of delicate lips that withhold joy?

is it the skills attained?
the skill of invading my dreams?
the capability of making me break down in a torrent of tears?
the ability to help me find solace during my bleak times?

or is the answer found deeper in the vault of your heart?
the cutting wit of intelligence that carries bold remarks?
the devotion of passion that gives character to your traits?
the light exuberance that imprints itself on everything you touch?

my reply to you is this:
I don’t know why,
but while my reason for loving you may change,
my love for you never breaks
