I hate Alice.
The hiss of the curling
“c”, of blond
locks, snaking beneath the ribbon
tied; I stumble.
Where is this gaping hole you
Found? I am
lost! The violet sky, the pink
leaves, crumble beneath
my feet. Clawing branches
scratch, the broken keys white and
black; strands of hair
splitting? twigs topple;
Snap!
S***! I’m
heavy, hands strike.
“Your late!” Fallen
angel, drowning
in the valley of
ribs, cutting through the forest of
veins…F*** you
Alice!
For with my crooked wings I dig a
hole. My own;
tumbling,
Alicia.

I'm definitely feeling the anger. I'm not sure who exactly you're directing the anger to. I have a feeling this is a personal poem alluding to Alice in Wonderland. I like the picture you chose too. It fits perfectly with this poem.

Well I couldn't find "Beating Night" so I have nothing but this to read and comment. At first when I read this I didn't necessarily get it unitl I came across it the second time and slowed down. I loved the anger and the visual in this poem though there were times I got lost with the connecting phrases but I think that add toteh fact that the read was indeed lost. I found it refereshing.

smile through everything no matter how bad it gets because it could be worse and if it gets worse well then it can only get better. :)

I absolutely LOVED this poem! The imagery in this poem is so vivid and draws you in immediately. I also love how in the end you incorporate what i presume to be your name into the poem. It works so well because it is so close to "Alice". I also love the way you rhymed in some spots, it definitely added to the voice in the poem. It just sounded so awesome and flowed so well together. Amazing Job! :)

The more control you have over yourself, the less control others have over you.

Hey there! The title and picture really go well with the poem. This poem was very different from most poems that I have read. There was a lot of emotion in here, not only that, but it was fury! I really enjoyed the feistiness of it. It's not often that I read an angry poem. After reading this I think I'd like to read more, maybe even write one. Hmm. I loved the twisted ending, I did not expect that. Great job!
