What should I do
if my sky isn't blue?

If my grass isn't green
and this isn't a dream

You tell me I’m not alone
in this small hollow home

Empty shell of a life
just me a husband and a wife

This perfect image I have to fill
what to with so much time to kill

Painted is a smile on my face
and when i see it, its such a disgrace

Robbed my life creativity and joy
Crushed my dreams as if I was a toy

unable to explain my feelings
but my heart has endured so many beatings

Now the smallest word can take me back
and the smallest phrase can make me crack...

This is beautiful, and I can definitely catch the sad tones. Try not to use words that are often paired as rhymes, like joy/toy, dream/green. The last 2 lines are my absolute favorite though, I got shivers :)  I can clearly see the emotions in this, so really great job!!  Keep it up!!
