I went down to the stream
Only to quench my thirst
For it looked so calm, glimmering in the sun

But how deceiving was that sparkling stream
And how ignorant was I to believe its lie

I fell for the trick
And the true nature of its power overwhelmed me

The rapid waters took no pity
So now I am part of these bold waters
