Late at night
A tear may fall
A tear which, later, I will not recall
A fallen dream
A broken heart
A world that's falling apart,
Ripping at the seams

I whisper,
Softly,
A sad
Sweet lullaby
Of times and people past
Only to save my sanity at last

A tear which later I will not recall.
A tear of sorrow
A tear of pain
