Over the rainbow
Somewhere over the rainbow
There was a breeze
And it did go
Into our hearts
Bringing us childhood visions of happiness
And prosperity
Something to live for, something to hope for
Somewhere over the rainbow
There was a breeze
And it did go
Into blooming dreamers
Lost adolescents
Something to live for, something to hope for
Something to expect
Something to be
Something to achieve
Somewhere over the rainbow
There was a breeze
And it did go
Past our minds and into our hearts
As a dream, merely a dream
A childish, foolish dream
That there was ever a rainbow
But to those fools
Who left the skeptics behind
Who find the rainbow
And true happiness
We do envy
For they feel that breeze
And see those birds that do fly
And those colors
Which never fade or die
Every day
