Run Faster
All the good people are in hiding.
They’re too busy hiding in plain sight, no one can see them, and no one can hear them even though they are screaming.
The tunnel vision of the world is getting more narrow, each and every day.
Their screams rip out from the corners of their lungs and echo in nothing but in the path of empty hearts.
I’ve been stuck on this swing for far too long; the chains refuse to break so I’ll just keep swinging back and forth.
Who will save me?
Alone I walk the streets at night,
Alone I pray to end this life,
Alone I cry, alone I scream,
alone I am, alone I stay,
We fear the unknown. Is this the reason we refuse to reach out?
