Gently the cool breeze skimmed her face forming a slight smile
Upon her palm lay a letter she hasn’t read in a while
She gently pushed away the envelope to release the smell of him
Taking in a deep long breath knowing she can no longer win
Remembering the face and natural complexion
Remembering his uniform she’d show affection
Her life contained no magic but she knew she wanted it then
To whisk away the dead, dull skin of her one and only men
The letter slide away through the cracks of her fingers
Here, his smell can carefully remain and always linger
