A thousand times we needed you
A thousand times we cried
If love alone could have saved you
You never would have died
A heart of gold stopped beating
Two twinkling eyes closed to rest
God broke our hearts to prove he only took
The best
You meant so much to all of us
You were special and that’s no lie
You brightened up the darkest day
And even the greyest sky
Not a day goes by that you are not in our hearts and soul

This is beautiful. I have lost a lot of relatives in my life. My mom says, "People in our family drop like flies." I can really relate to this and I love the way this poem flows. Incredible job :)
