Burning Bush
I wonder what we did,
That was so bad,
So, so bad,
That our mothers cried and the Gods looked away in shame?
So, so bad,
That the Devil looked and wondered how he had not created such creatures?
Perhaps we were not strong enough for the world that had been given unto us.
So that we too - what was left of the kind and the just - looked away in shame.
That was so bad,
So, so bad,
That our blood brothers – the broken and disheartened souls – tore down what was left,
And cried?
So, so bad,
That the Evil in our homes and in our streets crossed themselves and wondered;
How such atrocities had been created from the kind and just hearts of the Good?
