"Blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing." ~Camille Pissarro

The look in her eyes walked for miles
But shivers do better to run
And the ghost from the train took my cabin
Or at least, that is what I recall

An angel stole flowers from our window box
An Eskimo played his guitar
I grew up to summit the staircase
Before an idea pushed me down

Aliens lived on pastel pink walls
But couldn't bring themselves to scale
The night after Christmas, one met me
And left behind fragments of home

The look in her eyes travel miles
The tone of her voice broke a bone
But the red of the earth and the red of a vein
Were nothing compared to the fall
