Escape
The beams of light awoke my soul but still
Air did awake the blades of grass so tall,
A dashing sight you must see, do, or stall
Or fall and thump over the tossing hill.
Forget your troubles, to slow, to refill
And take your mind away from today's call,
Flow to a strange imaginative hall
Of pomp and dazzle and delight to a thrill.
I'll take a breath of cool air's pass and trees,
My eyes will close with clips of joyful days.
Restore the taste of blissfully pleasant seas,
And to beautiful buds on stems and rays.
The time is swift and flies over my pleas,
But despair tis' a choice a fool will play.
