Final Moments
As I close my eyes in death
And draw through my lips a final breath,
I bid farewell to all held dear
And face at last, my final fear.
As I examine my life, as though through a pane,
I can’t help but wonder if I lived in vain.
Fleeting memories of the past;
I give a sigh, and rest at last.
