Favorite Quote:
"Come to the edge, he said. No, we will fall, they replied. They came to the edge. He pushed them...and they flew."

My pen is poised
My plague of words
Is ready to stream
After so many years.
My wings are crippled
I can no longer fly
Now I can only
Fall.
I can only watch
And fall.
I've lost control
I’m spinning out
My long decent
I can’t get out
I wish it was over
Can’t leave unscathed
So dark and cold
As I fall.
So lonely and cold
As I fall.
I am a hazard
To all I see
I would cater your whims
But as you can see
I’m bound in these chains
I cannot get free;
I’m in quite a predicament
My dreams say good riddance
I see your indifference
There is no resistance.
All barriers gone as I fall
All barriers gone as I fall.
They pelt me with words
As I make my decent
Not a drop of affection
For one of their own.
Wish I could dissuade
This barrage of words
Wish they could know
How bad it hurts.
But I am helpless
As I fall;
I have no voice
As I fall.
This may be homicide
But look on the bright side;
This is my fate
A mutual pain
Only one can survive
Only one can live by
So I accept my life
And watch the black run by.
Watch the black run by
As I fall
No light in sight
As I fall
No hope to survive
As I fall
Hoping it’s over
As I fall.

This is the poem I am most proud of. I wrote it for an English class along with two of my other friends. We wrote three corresponding poems with the themes Flight, Fall, and Nightmare. As you can see, I was given the topic 'Fall' and I'm really pleased with the results. I hope you enjoy it!
