A friend is like a flower
a rose
to be exact

A companion
a playmate
to make a pact

You laugh, maybe also
fight
stay up all night

You find out friends
have thorns;
some are big
others small

Some snub you
rub you
the wrong way
when other are near

Some you lose
others you keep
there's no need to fear
