Across the tracks,
I could see your figure.
Undeniably tall,
Remarkable, distinct.
(Or at least
You were in my eyes.)
My trembling fingers
Filled with numb bone
Felt heavy
With the weight of nothing.
Frozen air
Filled my insides
And crusted my skin.
I wore my curiosity
Like a dripping red coat,
Staring at you
As I wondered if you were staring back at me.
Everything around me
Was gray,
Unnoticeable next to you.
My ears were forced to hear
The roaring train whistle
And the flop
Of overlapping words.
Eventually
You just turned and walked away.
And I had to walk away too,
Even though my heart stayed,
Falling apart on that busy platform.

I love it. Reminds me of Harry Potter. With Platform 11 and what 3/4? Anywho, I love your descriptions. And the recalling of memories. Very well done.

I'm fine. I just feel like I'm shattered into hundred of little shards of glass and I'm going to hurt everybody who loves me.

I love the ending and the descriptions were beautiful. Brought back a memory...
