We Can
They tell us that we can't.
Too young, too naive, too ignorant.
We can't imagine.
We can't decide.
We can't know.
And yet they tell us that we must.
We must decide now
the rest of our lives.
We must know now
enough to pass all of their tests.
We are
"the future"
So why do they refuse to listen?
Our voices,
Our choices,
Our desires,
Are labeled as wrong
And they tell us we can't.
But we know we can.
We can decide
Our own futures.
We can create
Our own world.
We can know
Enough to create our own tests.
We can
And we will.
