The Low in High Places
Why is it, that we the people pick scum to deal with all things political?
How hypocritical, that it's an inefficient system when the ones screwing up
are the ones WE chose.
Sorry DC, it's not your fault, the blame's on you and me.
Bickering about nothing while the innocent die and criminals run free.
Society is funny that way, is it not?
Like how athletes got paid ridiculously while our underpaid soldiers get shot?
Makes you wonder, is your idea of right and wrong the right one?
You never know. Case in point, lobbyists with their various causes and lack of ideals makes me want to fight one.
In spite of the façade of standing up against something, they just manipulate,
Stipulating constituents.
Radiating hate, yet the general public can't realize or contemplate.
Those with influence just fabricate agendas to placate and deceive.
Receiving a backhand from all of this is the next generation.
The ravenous debt we accumulate will precipitate faster than we can stop it.
Our dues pile up a mountain and we sit precariously atop it.
If you find yourself blaming others, come to a screeching halt.
Let's be honest, our situation is our own damn fault.
