Dark contemplation rises from the depths of my mind.
Cold, cruel creature, why do you taunt me so?
You have trapped me in a prison of doubt,
And bound me with the malignant thoughts of others.
You are the administrator of the emotional apocalypse,
You are the mistress of maliciously maddening mayhem of the mind.
Were you the mother of war and discontent?
Did you give birth to the surrounding deceit?
As the world broods, the world bleeds.
Brooding, bleeding and breeding our deranged demons.
The demons of hate, guilt, deception and greed.
You stand by idly, watching as destruction nests in our homes
You no longer live only in our minds, you roam the streets,
Infecting every soul with the touch of your claw.
Your face is that of melting flesh, burned by the fires of deaths dealt by your hand.
Your eyes hold a thousand souls, trapped within your prison of self-doubt.
Your mouth curls like the snake of the apple, deception shining through your smile.
You are a disease of the mind, playing with your world marble.
You must be purged from the malleable minds of the world,
And thrown to Cerberus where you may be split in three:
Your face, melted into a sea of melted faces,
Your eyes, now black holes imprisoned in the fields of punishment,
Your mouth, supportless, entangled in its own lies.
Be gone creature of darkness, never again raise from the depths.
You are my prisoner.
I am the master.

The inspiration to write this piece came to me whilst I was contemplating my future. Sometimes the future seems bleak and contemplation can make that worse, so much worse.
