'beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they will be dead by midnight' Og Mandino

That brilliant burst of spring
As an unsullied year begins on a new stave
Spring is a cavorting capriccio of trilling birdsong
With tangy elusive air which wafts amiably
Amidst freshly sprung hyacinths and daisies
The unkempt gardens are somewhat over canopied with swaying snow drops
And the delicate magnolias bear abundant armfuls of blossom

Languidly, spring drifts into the hazy waltz of summer
The humid air hangs dense
blue skied brilliance enraptures
the silent, unmoving breeze
A distant horizon shimmers
And the tyrannous sun floats higher
in the cloud absent sky

The listless trance of summer gone
Now an overture to winter
Staccatoed raindrops plummet onto the frosted pane
The metronomic falling of fiery leaves from the cracked bows of an oak
The occasional thump as a shining treasure strikes the dew soaked grass
Autumn is only a short harmonious interlude
Before the bitter months seize control

Winter begins as a sharp bite in the balmy autumn breeze
A tremolo of thunder
as the yellow crack is consumed
By the ever present charcoal smear of sky
The howling wind accompanies a snowy silence
crisp white sheets smother the ground
And the snow enveloped trees take a deep bow

I love how you employed musical terms in this poem. It reminded me of Verdi's Seasons. The flow was smooth. And the imagery was precise and exceptional.

This is so remarkable the way you relate the "Rythm" of the Seasons to music in words such as "a cavorting capriccio of trilling birdsong", "staccatoed raindrops", "metronomic falling of fiery leaves, "a tremolo of "thunder". The concudtor ends with a "deep bow". What a treat to read your work!

&quot;Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away.&quot;

This is a lovely poem and you use a wide range of vocuabulary, but I feel as if that throws off the flow of the poem. When read outloud, it doesn't sound like a poem, it sounds like prose, which isn't necessarily  a bad thing. The one thing I love about this is your use of alliteration. It rolls off the tongue nicely and helped with the flow of the poem. I think this has a lot of potential, it just needs to be trimmed up a bit. Nice work!

&quot; We make up horrors to help us escape from the real ones.&quot;- Stephen King<br /> &quot; But I don&#039;t want comfort. I want God, I want poetry. I want danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin.&quot;- Aldous Huxley

This is beautiful, lovely imagery and so many big words. I loved it!
