Contradiction 274
The room is bright the music serene,
The scent of velvet is in the air,
Yet it's all worth it for her,
No matter how hard it was to get here.
All the wait, and the talks, all the notes and the walks,
I hated that we took. It slow, but that's what she wanted,
Though I must admit every moment was beautiful, every second a blur,
When we'd look at the stars an resting on my shoulders was her head.
I'll never forget that night our first kiss,
Her innocence contradicts my essence entirely,
I can feel her eating away my ragged edges, sanding me smooth,
I was scared she'd leave but Now I know she loves me.
