I’m so sorry I pushed you away.
The truth is I hate you being gone all the time,
I miss the days where you took me and my little
Brother to the park and we would just play.

I want you to know I love you.
And sometimes I hate myself for ever
Telling you I didn’t.

I feel like we don’t know each other sometimes.
When I look at you, I feel like you don’t
Even recognize me.
I’m so sorry I caused you so much trouble,
All I’ve ever wanted was to make you proud.

I know mom and I are closer,
But dad you are my hero.
I don’t know where I would be without you.

Here I sit crying and writing you this letter,
I hope someday you will forgive me for the
Distance I’ve put between us.

Although you may believe I’m better off without you,
The truth is I’m not.
I’m scared to grow up and move away,
I can’t even remember the last time I hugged you and told
You I’d always be your little girl.

When you’re gone I secretly wish you
Would come back home, but I know how busy you are.
You’re out saving lives, and hopefully
Someday you’ll be there to save mine.
