Klutz
Pardon me while I ponder why
It’s seems so easy for me
To trip and fall
I can never understand
Why I never fail
When it comes to banging my knee
Is it coincidence?
I think not
How many times have I stabbed myself,
With a pencil?
I’ve lost count of the number of times
I have jammed my finger in the door
And stubbed my toe
And poked myself in the eye
And stumbled, barely catching myself
And walked into walls
And bit my tongue
And forgotten to swallow and nearly
Choked to death
Caught my hair in a zipper
Tapped the wrong person on the shoulder
Called a friend by the wrong name
And forgotten my home address
Stuttered while speaking
A nervous wreck
I have realized that if there’s one thing I can do
It is simply this:
I can be the clumsiest klutz there ever was
