Don't die. It's bad for your health.

He used to be a king.
So high above he had ruled
That in looking down he only found the ground was not in view.
So high on top of his throne he would sit day by day
Enjoying every hour as the hours flew away.
As his subjects greeted him now, he knew they wished to say,
“You’re a tyrant and a thief. you did not used to be this way.”
He pretended it wasn’t there, he pretended it didn’t exist,
The resentment growing between him and the people he grew to miss.
He used to be a leader; he used to be a man,
But a monster now stood where a great ruler used to stand.
He fell so far down from that kingdom so very high.
Always falling down now never again to sore or fly.
He had clipped his own wings; his power he had abused.
Everyone now hated him; all the people he had used.
His sight has now left him,
The man’s voice now talked mutely.
The beast was now in power.
“Absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
