Thoughts + Fears + Dreams
Sometimes I think about
how man has become so jaded
to the magnificent things
that loom all around
and why we fight wars
and breed hatred
and ask questions
when the answers
have already been found
but we just aren’t satisfied
because there’s always another way,
a more realistic solution
My, my, what a dark thing to say
“Some say I’m a dreamer”
and it seems I really am the only one
because there’s beauty all around us
but everyones forgot
Now it’s more for me
All for none.
Other times I think
things a bit more dark
like how inconceivably
unimportant we are
and how space stretches on
forever afar and how
the universe doesn’t give a rat’s a**
about any of us
Are you following me here?
It’s quite a lot to grasp
Because we’re just a speck
of nothing
in a never ending plain of nothing
thats at the same time everything
so we’re nothing within nothing
that makes up everything
and I say this accentuating
that my mind is a little f***ed up
so I thought that’s worth mentioning
but those are just the dark thoughts
I don’t think them intentionally
Most times I dream about
how man would revile
beneath the starlight
if every one thousand years
they were to shine for just one night
and I like to think that on that night
the entire world would stand still
and man would lay down their arms
and oh, what a thrill
when no gods would exist
and no wars would be fought
no hate would be spread
and no love would be lost
and tears would be shed
not from despair
but from pure joy
and all would be clear
and I’d be happy at least
because “when the power of love
exceeds the love for power,
the world will finally,
finally know peace”
