True Love
I watch,
As she walks down the aisle,
Her face lit with the excitement,
That only a bride,
Could show,
Tears in her eyes,
As she sees him at the end of the isle,
His eyes wide,
Smile bright,
I can just feel it,
Inside of them,
It no longer lingers,
It spreads,
And soon,
The whole room,
Is boiling over with this joy,
Pushing on the windows and doors,
Seeping through their cracks,
Only we can feel it,
Only the people who are in this room,
This cathedral,
Where words echo throughout,
And the music,
Drowns out our words,
We wait,
With bated breath,
As the vows are said,
And they look each other in the eyes,
And say "I do",
Love,
True,
Sweet,
Love,
Pulls on our heart strings,
They kiss,
A long,
Passionate,
Loving,
Kiss,
And the music plays again,
Tears,
Of the purest happiness,
Trickle down our cheeks,
As they walk back down the isle,
And out of the chapel,
This,
Is the truest,
Love,
And let me say,
Being witness,
To such love,
Only made me love you more.
