Prisoners
Lifeless eyes staring blankly
Fidgeting with bloody fingers nervously
Rattling chains that bind their feet
Tongue swollen like a lump of meat
Battered and bruised, deformed and skinny
Crying silently, tired and hungry
Soles blistered and souls broken
Fears and worries never spoken
Thumping heart and empty mind
Every chaffing knot and bind
One day will slip away
And all these prisoners will fly away
