Stress
They tell us not to stress too much over school.
They tell us school determines our future.
They tell us to do good in school.
They tell us not to work to hard.
When we start flunking they get mad and tell us to get our grades up.
When we have a C average they tell us to get our grades up.
When we get a detention they're extremely disappointed in us.
And yet, they tell us not to stress too much over school.
I don't understand why we shouldn't stress too much over school.
It determines our future and they get mad at us if we flunk.
I think this is why students drop out of high school.
The farther into school you get,
The more advanced classes you take,
The harder the classes get,
The more stress is piled on your shoulders.
"Don't stress too much over school."
Please excuse me while I live with my parents for the rest of my life.
