Crowd Of People
I look into a crowd of people
 what is it I see?
A sea of blank faces staring back at me.
 I wonder what I did,
 or maybe what I said.
 Maybe it's just the Devil
trying to play with my head.
 I act all cool
 to get my own way.
 So he doesn't know
 I'm really running away.
Then I realize the truth beyond the picture.
 The people all are crying,
wanting to give up on their future.
 Their done with pity,
 their done with bust.
 Their done with forgiveness
 and their done with trust.
 People hurt them,
 said they were no good,
that all they were was a pile of dust.
A piece of tool when things got tough,
and a piece of trash when ones had enough.
I look into a crowd of people,
 what is it I see?
 I see the world
 staring blankly back at me.
