The Night is Alive
Where do you go when you dream?
I delve deep into the depths of my imagination.
A potpourri of possibilities, easy to lose myself in the flurry.
Looking around I feel a shiver,
As a single snowflake rests on my shoulder.
It melts.
I keep looking for something, though I don't know what I'm searching for.
The torrent continues.
Slowly slipping,
My conscious saturated, until I can hold no more.
Then, as the downpour develops
I open my eyes, just to yearn for the place I call home,
Kidnapped by lucidity.
