when your foot twitches
bounces
bounces
bounces
do numbers run through your brain?
do your feet make their
way
into equations of
what you have taken,
done,
burned?
i can tell a neurotic girl by
looking her ankles-
her
tight flesh
wrapped around her
erect bone
and her strained ligaments
(like a knob in her spine
has been wound
and does not
unwind.

how is it that
i see myself when
i look at another girl's wrist?
(her insides are jutting sharply
into her outwards)
bare your femininity
fervently
rejoice in what
you have
(created)
