Revolving, drifting, quaking
careening through stars and time
in a ceaseless orbit
Dangerous, magnificent, unruly
with sprawling wilderness
and violent collisions of storm and sea
Beautiful, colossal, fleeting
An orb of biological phenomena
edging ever closer to extinction,
dying at the hand of humans.
