A Prophet For A Dead Heart
A prophet for a dead heart once said
'That which does not love does not live'
I heed these words, for my own heart is dead
Not only love do I receive, love I give
He also sang songs reminiscing on past allusions
Some grandiose, some bitterly bad
As he pondered his life he came to the conclusions
Never once was he happy, most times he was sad
The prophet bowed his head in shame
For the hearts he cared so genuinely about
Had been playing the same sick love game
And the dead hearts he once thought were
Showed themselves as his own
