there is a small
uncertainty in me; i feel it creep
behind my eyes and when i blink
it itches
in some indefinite way
but i don’t mind, i like
the nervousness it insists
upon bequeathing me,
this minute imbalance
gives me a sense of
possibility;
i am a bird on a wire
a little bit higher
than those of you with wings
it’s fantastic,
exhilarating,
wouldn’t trade it for any degree of comfort
knowing myself could give me
because though i am
unclear i am
entirely
free.

The uncertainty of Life. The boundlessness and fetterlessness of Life. Being tied to customs, rules, society, traditions, and standards can become so dull that Life becomes listless. Sometimes, the freedom is what we all need. The looseness of it all. Even just for a second. To be free-falling, even if it's scary as h*ll. I love the feeling this gives off. It's empowering. Like f*ck it all, let's do this!
