Injection
I bear wounds
That dig so deep
Deeper than your
Mind bears thoughts
Corrupted by the sounds you make
That seem so harmless
They inject themselves into my body
Spreading like ivy
Sticking like molasses
Burning like arsenic
They are coursing through my veins
Feeding under my skin
Constricting around my lungs
With a venomous wire that I cannot sustain
My breath goes steady
My mind goes blank
My ears can only clasp around
The dark symphony being proclaimed by the rain
I watch as it cascades from the clouds
And ruptures on objects
It is as if I was the rain
Being able to break
Ever so easily
Chained to the wall
Chained to the floor
I cannot escape your words
Anymore
