My Dissolution
Who decided that you got control of my life?
I, not questioning my creation,
But my destruction.
Taking everything from me,
Like the savage beast you are.
I know there’s more to you than that,
More than the lashing out at me.
I hear your whispering cries
And all I want to do is answer,
Then hang up.
You monster, you,
I can’t take it anymore
All I want to do is extinguish the flame of your wrath
And leave you with nothing,
Nothing but your bare soul.
My heart hardens for you,
For you are my predecessor,
But this is not an excuse
For the mess you’ve created,
Me.
