Ocean girl
We’re predictable at the very least,
Because she was my very first friend,
But in a world of heart-broken casualties,
I’m worried to lose her over again.
We’ve danced this dance,
Sang this tune till we were hoarse,
But we can’t seem to let go,
Holding on even through the worst.
Lately we’ve been at our very worst,
But she still stays with me at least.
One day I’ll return the favor,
And show her how much I care for her,
Buy her the anything that money can buy,
More than likely I’ll take us to the water.
Where she can be free of the world,
I’ve always know she loved the sea,
Being bound to the earth I’d watch and wait,
But I’ll know she’ll come back to me.
