I see laughter everywhere,
But I cannot laugh.

I see smiles all around,
But my lips do not rise,
They only fall…

Lower and
Lower.

And soon after,
My head, too, falls…

Lower and
Lower.

Students ask me if I’m on my period,
As if asking a boy this will raise my spirits.
If anything my spirits just fall…

Lower and
Lower.

I try to be positive,
But now I realize how wrong it is.
My hopes were up too high in life.
So now they fall…

Lower and
Lower.

I can’t take this anymore,
I hate this world and I hate my life.
My motivation in life is falling…

Lower and
Lower.

I’m going to leave everything behind,
For I’m already dead inside.
So you can watch my body be lowered
From the noose that holds me up…

Lower and
Lower.

You will finally care about me,
As your knees hit the floor and your tears fall,
Just like mine did...

Lower and
Lower.

You can watch the coffin be carefully
Put into the grounds of the earth and place down…

Lower and
Lower.

I’ll enjoy watching you crash and burn throughout your life.
You will break apart as I watch you from above,
And you will die and fall…

Lower and
Lower.

But until then I’ll just sit here with
A knife in my hand,
Scars on my arms an wrists,
And a life that constantly falls…

Lower and
Lower.
