Love's End
Tears laced with madness
and hearts bound by red ribbons
to repair the fracture
This is Love's sad end
after a long adventure of roads
that swirl and bend
colors in the mind become pale
and bleed out as the eyes close
when the heart is broken
in love, there is always one liar
and these lies twist and corrupt the mind...
tricking one of them into love
true love only exists in the truest hearts
and the truest hearts only exist on the horizon, the sunsets
it seems as if that perfect soul mate
is always out of reach
so you turn to those who break hearts
because its the closest you'll ever be
to true love
even though you know its just pretend
This is Love's end..
buried 6 feet under the lies
in a dark place of damp coldness and deceit..
too often does love meet defeat
and fall into ashes and dust
never landing on its feet
