A Soldier's Poem
November 17, 2013
I will not put this flag down,
as long as I can stand.
I refuse to ever give up,
I'll keep on fighting for this land.
Though sometimes it gets hard,
I will fight hard and long.
I'll fight for my family and friend,
then soon will return home.
Freedom is not free,
and that's why I'm in this war.
I'm giving my life,
and you're the one I'm fighting for.
I will not put this flag down,
as long as I can stand.
I refuse to ever give up,
I'll keep on fighting for this land.
