The sky opens up
and cries the tears of a thousand heartbreaks.

It shoots anger and agony
in a flash of light.

A roar of frustration startles the town.

Floods of fear fill cracks and ditches.

But, no matter how strong the storms may be,
rain doesn’t last forever.

This piece was inspired by the idea of elements in a storm representing different emotions during a hard, emotional time.
