Behind my smile there is pain
Behind my laugh, cruel disdain
Tears slip from my eyes
But you'll never see me cry
You think I'm happy, I am not
Through a twisted web I'm caught
Everyday I died inside
And everynight that I cried
Those memories in my brain
I swear, they won't go away
So you see my smile, not the tears
Or the torment from these years
Behind my smile there is hurt
The tears in my eyes, that I avert
