"Who you Finna Try"

In the last fourteen months
My entire life has changed
Friends and family matters
have turned upside-down
Some emotions have decayed
while others have manifested
However, one thing remains static
The way you make me feel
The way I feel around you
Is unchanged by time

You'd think that I would have more will!
More control of emotion!
More resolve.
You'd think I would've given up,
After so many grand failures
and your imminent rejection daily

I have no fear about most things
I'm comfortable with myself
But you make me--uncomfortable
You make me tremble with passion
You send unearthly tremors through my heart
You are hard to talk to because of your magnificence

Not many words have been exchanged
In the last fourteen months of this storm
This love has remained unchanged
Because I can't handle what it takes
to move on

Don't get me wrong
Trust me I do have resolve and bravery
But you--have more power than I can fathom
The way the gloomy haze of perfection surrounds you
can bewitch me into the best and worst feelings
You have more power than the sun and the stars!
You have more power than the sky and the heavens!
More power than the will of man and God!

You. Are. Life-Changing.
The love, is unchanging

Time can change so many things
The moon and the tide
The night and day
The past and future
The stars and planets
Yet it cannot change how you make me feel!
Is that not supernatural?

With floods and storms
Ground, dirt, and plants can be washed away
With fire,
Fields and harvests can be blazed to blackness
Over a million years,
Rocks can be eroded by wind and rain

Love can be washed away by,
Destroyed by
Eroded by--

Nothing.

I wrote this about a love of mine that remains unchanged by the years I've been in love with him, yet I fail every single day and I still let myself stay attached to him for some reason. . .
