Those early mornings,
Headed to the same old place
Laughing and giggling along the way

And as we got older,
Expectations were made
And we never could go on the playground again.

That was the day our childhood was gone,
Our friendship lost
And now as teens, we catch each other in the halls,
and next year you'll be gone...

All because our childhood was gone,
Our friendship was lost.

My creative writing teacher had us write down a memory and then somehow turn the memory into a poem of some sort. This is what I came up with.
